The Galápagos Islands are known for their incredible diversity of species, both flora and fauna. Charles Darwin is forever linked to the islands and their animals. The Galápagos had a resounding impact on the formation of his Theory of Natural Selection, with his writing of "Origin of Species" years after his visit, based on the adaptations of the species he found as he traveled from island to island.
Included in my original watercolor & ink painting, "Galápagos Tortoise", are just a few of these specimens. The Blue-Footed Boobie and the Galápagos Land Iquana are featured within the front flippers of this beauty. You'll also find cacti, succulents, and abundant florals. This would make a great set with my Giraffe and Elephant stickers on your locker, water bottle, laptop....wherever you'd like to see some gorgeous creatures! Enjoy!
